How to make a DIY face shield in minutes
Start by gathering your materials. You can pick up A4 sheets of acetate cheaply from online craft stores and once you have it, you’ll need to take a pair of scissors to round off the edges.
Now take your pack of VELCRO® Brand Stick On Squares and a pair of glasses. Any glasses will work but if you have a spare pair in addition to your usual pair, we’d recommend using those. Make sure the frame is going to be wide enough to give the sticky back squares enough surface area to stick to.
Now stick the loop side of a VELCRO® Brand Stick On Square to each side to each side of your glasses (the loop side is the soft side).
Then stick the hook side to each side of your sheet of acetate and fix it to your glasses. Before you attach the sticky back square to your glasses, it’s a good idea to roughly measure where you want it to go.
And that’s it, your DIY face shield is ready to use! After each wear, it’s important to remove the acetate for cleaning.
